Linking the SlimVAC to the Kasfold offers the smaller printer the possibility of purchasing a flexible system that will allow him to say yes! when his customer asks for booklets using coated stocks, safe in the knowledge that the system will produce collated, stapled, folded and trimmed booklets at around 1500 booklets per hour.

The SlimVAC suction system allows the operator to run collating jobs into the in-built stacker at very high speeds, at the touch of a button the sets can be routed out of the rear exit into the Kasfold bookletmaker.

The British manufactured SlimVAC modular suction feed collator is the cost effective answer. The SlimVAC can be purchased as a 4 bin bench-top collator, additional feed bins can be added individually to a maximum of 12 bins.

The SlimVAC feed system allows; bond, carbonless, matt coated, gloss coated and boards to be fed without marking and with minimal adjustment between jobs. A5, A4 and SRA3 sets can be collated at up to 5,000 sets per hour.

Set-up times are a fraction of other systems due to the SlimVAC’s central referencing.

The SlimVAC patented rotary suction feeder is simple to operate. Uniquely, the feed system needs no adjustment when changing paper sizes. Varying the profile of the suction feed head means a wide range of stocks are handled with ease. A combination of air blast separation and suction feed is used in the SlimVAC feeder.

The SlimVAC has a “SMART” detection system which automatically self-calibrates, is unaffected by ambient light conditions and is continually averaging so that it will adapt to minor fluctuations in ink density or paper variations.

The SlimVAC is supplied with a choice of stackers, either straight stacking for carbonless sets or a combined straight and 20 degree criss cross stacker that will separate individual sets or can be programmed to offset batch quantities.
